Introduction

As Director of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity, I am aware that many of our instructional staff wonder about the best way to deal with complex student behaviour that arises in the classroom or in relation to academic programming. I have put together these pages which I hope will assist you to better address difficult, disruptive or troubling student behaviour within a rapidly shifting post-secondary environment.

When dealing with complex student behaviour, the aim is to balance the rights of our students, with our students’ responsibility to adhere to the standards and expectations of the College. It is within this balance that we can foster a safe, respectful, healthy and productive environment for everyone.
